It’s A Jeep Thing, You Wouldn’t Understand

To someone who doesn’t own a Jeep the above phrase is just that, a phrase. But to those of us who do own a Jeep it means so much more.

On one of the jeep forums that I visit someone asked the question: It’s A Jeep Thing, You Wouldn’t Understand. What does it mean? They wanted to know if the term was meant for a stock wrangler as much as it would for a lifted wrangler.

The answers that followed showed that the meaning was as much a personal thing as it is a Jeep Thing.

    • It’s a jeep thing when you’re driving down the road with the top down in the rain with a smile on your face and others are looking at you like you are crazy
    • It’s a jeep thing when you’re working on your jeep at all hours of the day and night when there is nothing wrong with it
    • It’s a jeep thing when you are driving down the road with the top off in the middle of winter when it’s only 35 degrees out

Others said that the meaning of the phrase was the experience and the feeling of owning something special. That owning a jeep showed that the person had heart.

Some owners feel that the Jeep is as all American as baseball and apple pie.

And most jeepers will agree that from the time someone decides that they are going to buy their first jeep, the phrase fits.

At the end of the day it’s all about having fun. It’s about the friendships you gain and the experiences you have along the way.

Even though you will find information on here about the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and the Liberty, Best Jeep is dedicated to the Jeep Wrangler and all the great Wrangler owners.
